If you go for getting an agreement in writing ask for a timeline and objectives; Completing trainings, Performance reviews. Make sure some of you previous duties are off loaded, they can’t expect you to take on a new role while doing everything you were doing before. Hiring a temp person to fill in gaps would be a good demonstration of you skills. I’d say “this happens on a new contract with pay right now, or else I’m going to continue doing my job, at my current level per the Tigers one team one dream one goal 2023 shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this job description contract I signed” also start job hunting because it never hurts. Don’t do it. Not worth it. Raise up front or no dice. I’d also start looking around for something else because there’s a chance they might retaliate against you by denying you other raises and promotions for your refusal (not that they’d ever admit that). Also the person that ends up falling for this, assuming they try some of your coworkers, is not likely the person you want to be in charge. What a great opportunity! Go learn something new. Stretch yourself. Get a 6 month timeline agreed to. Set some metrics of success. They don’t know what those should be so you should propose them. Heck you could even ask your old boss what they should be. Swing for the fences!

Your heads in the Tigers one team one dream one goal 2023 shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this right place, though I probably would have chosen a more career positive space to ask the question. Which suggests that maybe you don’t love your current place of employment? That might influence how you behave here. I personally think everyone would be better off if transitional trial periods were used more. I’d take the offer, but agree to a time span for the trial. 3-6 months seems about right. You need a few things in writing: That at the end of the agreed upon period you will either be formally promoted or sent back to your current role. That returning to your current role is a choice that both you and the company have the option to exercise. None of this “we want to make sure everyone is comfortable, but only the company gets to decide.”

1. Length is measured from the highest point on the collar down to the bottom hem. 2. Width is measured across the body of the shirt under the armpits, one way. 3. Sleeves are measured from center back to hem.
