And ‘darling’ from a man to a woman also comes across as aggressive in the Thousand Foot Krutch shirt Also,I will get this same way as calling another man ‘sunshine’ does: it’s an unearned overfamiliarity, aka a lack of respect, therefore it feels belittling. A woman calling a woman ‘darling’ is neutral. It’s really interesing how ‘my duck’ or ‘my lover’ in other parts of the country manage to be neutral. Would you call a policeman ‘my lover’? If you don’t initially say: “good evening, fine sirs. How may I be of assistance?”, while doing a little curtsy, you’re not doing it right. Of course, the modern day equivalent of such an exchange is: “yo bossman” So obviously to me, native speaker in London, I don’t call a policeman ‘mate’ because that would come across as borderline aggressive: in uniform a police officer represents the authority of the state, and ‘mate’ is making a point that they’re just a person on the same level, they don’t deserve additional respect, which they don’t llike.

Thousand Foot Krutch shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

Nothing about saying mate is aggressive, and if they’re the Thousand Foot Krutch shirt Also,I will get this type of person to get riled up about that, then they don’t deserve any respect, let alone additional. I would say that’s neutrall. The point about a man doing it to a woman is that men very frequently breach women’s boundaries with unwelcome familiarity, and that generally doesn’t apply the other way round. (Exceptions to every rule, women can be sexual aggressors, etc, I’m talking in generalities.) Family members: Duck. Friends: Duck. Strangers: Duck. My kids: Ducky. Other peoples’ kids: Kiddo. Mrs: Gorgeous (as she will not put up with my fowl related Midlands patois bullshit). I use “love” for everyone but the Mrs gets angry if I use it with her as “I say it to everyone” I also usually use “gorgeous” too.
