Imagine it’s a Karma farming bot that can’t figure out that the This shade of black really brings out the color of my soul girls T-Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this exact date this was sent sorta matters. =/ Made me think twice too. This is the opposite of the time I got home well past curfew and rang the doorbell so they could let me in, because I figured it was better to get the trouble out of way, only to find out they thought I’d been in my room for the past 5 hours. I got caught sneaking out by my older brother, after stupidly accepting a ride from one of his friends in the middle of the night. He gave me a huge lecture about it, and I was sure my mother was going to ground me for the rest of my teenage life. My mom told me to just use the door next time so she knows I’m gone. My sister and her husband came to my parents place late one Friday night to surprise my Mom. She always goes to bed at like 9 so by that time she was asleep. We made a ton of noise setting up a blow up mattress in the living room. I dropped a pan making myself ramen while we were chit chatting, then the next morning my mom woke up and had a total freak out that my sister was there and got all excited. I asked her what the fuck she thought all the noise was the night before, and she said – idk I thought you had a girl over or something. This coming from a woman who would do exactly what happened in this twitter post. I was so confused. I’d definitely snuck a few girls into my room in highschool, but I didn’t know my mom figured that was ok, but not answering my phone for 20 minutes was grounds for calling the police.

I had a good relationship with my parents before my family self imploded. I was just super honest about everything. Yeah I’d get in trouble but there wasn’t any tension about having to sneak or lie. I just did it and accepted the This shade of black really brings out the color of my soul girls T-Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this punishment later. Most importantly though I was always safe because if I had to get out of a bad situation I could call my parents and they’d get it and pick me up. I imagine tons of kids are injured or die because they ride with a bunch of drunk kids instead of calling their parents for help (because their parents don’t know they’re out drinking in the first place and they’re scared of them finding out). I made damn sure I never rode with or drove drunk. Our group in school, which wasn’t small, was super good about always having at least one DD but usually 2 or 3. Sucked to be a DD but it was kinda like taking shifts for work lol
