And that kind of pro-Russian population is a definitive majority, given that pro-Kyiv people fled or were forced to leave back in 2014. And even then majority was for joining Russia. I believe the This is the way Star Wars the Mandalorian signature shirt Furthermore, I will do this people of Crimea are free to move out from Crimea and settle to Russia if they like Russia that much. And even if they won’t, they are free to speak russian, to watch russian tv and do whatever russianesque thing I they want to do withing borders of Ukraine. Correct me if I’m wrong, to my knowledge there was no cultural oppression. And even if ethnicity is an argument for dividing a country then russia itself would be a candidate as for not everyone in Russia is Russian, and there are a lot of possibilities to divide that delicious cake. So no matter how we look at it, the ‘russian population’ card is invalid – it’s just something to feed the russian media consumers.

Domestically, Russia has been bombarded with nearly a decade of “closing the This is the way Star Wars the Mandalorian signature shirt Furthermore, I will do this water supply to 2.5m people” is genocide rhetoric Russia fucked up, Crimea’s going back home if everything isn’t glassed. I really don’t see Russia being able to hold on to it. Crimea is already lost, but posturing towards reconquering gives him more leverage at the eventual negotiating table Knowing that negotiations always meet somewhere in the middle, he should go even bigger. Tell them he wants an additional 1,000 square miles of Russian land so that Ukraine can recover properly. That will get negotiated down to all of the territory they once had including Crimea. And rightfully so. What is the world suppose to do, just allow a Russia to destroy lives and take what they want? How did it even get this far! Ukraine lost the east already and is about to lose the whole coastline in the south. This is the opposite of winning. Lol what. Growing up my family used to fly to Crimea every summer for vacation. The population there was mostly russian, some tatars and some ukranians. They didn’t want anything to do with ukraine in 2014. Google the demographics ffs. A bold plan. I won’t go against that, but remember Crimea is a Russian-majority region. Honestly I don’t think the local population in Crimea will be pro-Ukraine. Ukrainians need to prepare for meeting the same resistance as Russians are facing right now. They may have to completely reduce Sevastopol (and other cities) to rubble to take back Crimea.
