Same as you I figured out I think pretty much the same way I did when I was 16. Scary to think everyone is like that. However, I was mature at 16 in those days, 16 year olds now are more like 10. Real adults also exist but are very rare. I admire them. The recycling bin is full every four minutes. What is this constant ferrying of one medium bin into a larger bin. Is this all there is, walking, endless walking between bins, transferring cardboard until the end time? Seems so From childhood, you start getting life lessons, responsibilities, and accountability. You go through hardships, grief, and maturity. Those things never go away. They get progressively more complex and challenging as you get older. You (hopefully) will learn to overcome them in better ways. ‘Young adults’ are in a weird section where they haven’t necessarily moved the needle from teenager to adult: all the qualifications and no real experience.
