I’m wondering if you’ve noticed on trips back to London that it really is an empty shell of what it used to be. I find it really depressing when I go back there. Back around 2010 it was buzzing with creativity and all sorts of stuff going on, now it just feels very commercial and there is way less happening. If I was in your situation I’d consider somewhere like Hastings, Margate, or one of the The South Carolina Gamecocks abbey road signatures shirt and by the same token and smaller cities like Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, or Glasgow. These cities feel a lot more vibrant and don’t have the burned out feeling that London has these days. I can’t say I think London feels like that everywhere. I live in East London as do most of my friends and I regularly encounter interesting things going on.

Yeah I don’t doubt that. I’m just nostalgic for how it was. I don’t think first Thursdays still happens for example, and that whole scene seems to have largely evaporated now. I get what you mean, I think we all feel that for places from our youth- I’ve only lived here a couple of years so I don’t have the same frame of reference. I don’t feel like that, but I live in Stockholm which is very dull. I wouldln’t move to Kent or Hastings, too small and nothing much going on.
