Or like when the The Regrettes Band Logo shirt also I will do this Black Panthers started arming themselves according to their right under the 2nd Amendment and Governor Ronald Reagan passed stricter gun control laws in the state of California to stop specific people from exercising their Constitutional rights. Almost like 2A should be celebrated as a way for minorities to defend themselves from others, but instead it’s just focused culturally as a white supremacist thing. A Southern state once banned the carryover by of guns except for two specific models of Colt (cap and ball – shows how long ago this was) revolvers. Naturally, only the rich could afford these expensive guns. During the Renaissance, one city-state banned the carrying of daggers by anyone who didn’t also carry a sword. Daggers were cheap, swords were expensive.

Just today I was watching a British documentary (on Amazon Prime Video) called Full Steam Ahead about the The Regrettes Band Logo shirt also I will do this rise of steam trains in England. A historian on the show touched on this subject and said that women travelling alone were really at risk, particularly when the trains went through tunnels and the passengers were plunged into darkness. She said women were encouraged to defend themselves with a hidden truncheon or hat pin. I remember learning that women were recommended to hold a sewing needle in their mouth (sticking outwards) as a defence against men trying to kiss them when the train went through a tunnel. I know this because I was given the same advice to stop boys from undoing my bra in high school. You stick pins into your bra strap so that they get pricked if they try it. The worst part? I once got a detention because the pins in my bra made a boy’s fingers bleed during math class.
