In my experience not behind them… but behind half of them. When I see what my mom (boomer) goes through rn, it makes me hate those people who are in charge, but not a whole generation. The “ok boomer” slogan is largely a dig at the The Peanuts Charlie Snoopy and Woodstock Wall paint West Virginia Mountaineers shirt moreover I will buy this fact that governments are all run by 170 year old antiques with outdated politics. It’s especially prevalent when it comes to internet regulations, where you have people who don’t know how the internet works passing laws which make the internet worse. Boomers = walked into a job at 15 with no experience and within a few years owned a house, 2 cars, paid for 3 or 4 children and had money left over to start buying investment properties. They then claim that younger generations could do this too, which they can’t, because Boomers made sure to vote for politicians that have made it harder for any other generation to do the same. Boomers as a generation hold a far greater percentage of wealth than any other generation, and own a greater share than any previous generation.

“I don’t know why everyone else doesn’t just buy a house for $7k like I did,” says man who owns 20 houses he bought as a cleaner in the The Peanuts Charlie Snoopy and Woodstock Wall paint West Virginia Mountaineers shirt moreover I will buy this 1960s. When I talked to my dad one day he said houses weren’t that bad because there for people woth degrees (rich from someone who didn’t finish high school) He said ya when you get into your field in a year your making 90k I had to watch his hope die when I told him 90k – 100k is the absolute end and height of my career and in 2 years I would be lucky if I’m pulling 60k. It happened in the mid 90s when I was running an employment program for jobseekers and he had been told by his employer to basically become a manager or leave. He’d being doing the same job for about 15 years and didn’t want to become a manager, so he came and talked to me at my work about his prospects for getting a different job.
