My dad is old enough that he had to do national service. I remember telling my teacher at school that I’d been on holiday to Spain and we’d driven in a double decker car. I don’t think she corrected me, but I like to think she realised at that point I was going to grow up to waste everyone’s time someday.

I wasn’t trying to say we where haunted, I don’t think I was old enough to get that yet but i remember I used to put his seat belt on in the car and would of had a melt down if someone told me he wasn’t real.

I’ve told two accidentally. He’d also told us stories about some loser in the army who was crying when they did some gas chamber training, and who was too afraid to jump out of a plane.
All was fine until one of his army buddies came to visit and went out drinking with us.
