When he asked why she was not being arrested as well, the police literal response was “she called us first”. Come the trial a year later and she told lurid tales of being vicious beaten to unconsciousness. But the only physical evidence of pictures taken at the time , were of injury to him where she beat him. She even admitted in court under oath that she assaulted him. After being found not guilty he took all his evidence to the police and asked them to prosecute her. They declined as it would “not be in the public interest”. I.e. “cant be bothered”. So yes, it is unfair. Welcome to the modern progressive “victim-believing but only females can be victims” policing culture we now have in the UK.
