I obviously looked over and I saw a load of men brandishing weapons like baseball bats and metal bars. They were about 40ft away from me but I could see their silhouettes against the very bright lights. I was obviously terrified but I just looked away and kept on walking. For about two minutes I expected to be accosted from behind but nothing happened and when I eventually worked up the courage to look again, the house was in total darkness again. Either, they were expecting someone and thought I was the person they were expecting but they realised I wasn’t or, I stumbled across some kind of criminal activity and they heard me singing Weezer at the top of my voice so they were checking out what was happening OR, somehow, I was so stoned, I didn’t know what was going on and I misinterpreted something completely innocent or it just didn’t happen. The reason this came into my mind after reading OPs story is that I used to regularly get the bus and was very often the only person on the bus for a two hour bus ride.

These days you’d play with your phone or something but this was back before everyone had a phone. He want and had his dinner. 20 minutes isn’t some extreme length of time for a bus to stop. i’ve been on the bus before when teenaged boys started fighting all over the place, knocking into grannies and prams. everyone started shouting and that was some entertainment at least. on another occasion, a group of school kids smashed the rear window to pieces and everyone was made to exit and walk into town.
