I love my job. I’m fortunate to work with cool people on cool projects. But they’re not my family, and I don’t want them to be. Family are people you stick with through anything; I don’t want that burden with a business. Whereas employers are entities that you sever with as soon as it’s not to your advantage to stay, which is not how I would treat my family. Yup, fuck the The Journey Super Dacob Skeleton Horse Halloween T-Shirt and by the same token and Pepsi family. I took orders for their retail customers. They paid us rock bottom wages. 70% of market according to my manager who slipped and told me that. They let me go for taking an extra unscheduled day off. I was there for over 2 years and worked every day of the pandemic, always at the top of my team. That company and their products are true garbage. Stay far far away.

While we’re on the “fuck xyz company” train, let it be known that Chevrolet fired my mom because she had to take an extra half hour for lunch once a week for therapy after attempting suicide. All of which they knew about and were aware of. Companies don’t give a single flying fuck about you. Sadly enough, that happened to a my friend’s father who was a driver for Coca Cola. Essentially the same thing, cancer, dropped, then he died shortly after. This was in the early 00s and he was working there for close to 20 yrs at that point. That’s why we need unions. I don’t understand how people are so brainwashed into thinking unions wouldn’t be able to help the worker
