In my experience the fridge itself just makes that sound sometimes. It might be a piece of Ice breaking off from the rear wall or something internally causing that sound. your fridge might audibly say “CRACK!” spontaneously like a drug addict that lives under a bridge speaking to his dealer, got it I think even the illustrator gave up on that one. It must have been a long day at the illustration office: “Bob, did you finish job 135-76, you know, the fridge one?”. Bob, glaring over his reading glasses: “Don’t get me started, these fridge people are insane.” “Who cares, Bob?! Just make ‘em Batman noises and call it a day s’os we can make it outta here fer happy hour, will ya?!” Well it has dotted lines for the 3 dimensions… Maybe that’s the sound it makes as it shifts dimensions and your leftovers stay behind in a different one. “During testing, we discovered that our fridges did, in fact, go “CRACK!” We are currently unsure of why it makes that sound but it seems to continue working.” Don’t say crack, Jez, yeah, please, not now. Might be the devil’s lettuce talking but I like it a lot. As someone who just bought a new washer/dryer that makes the most ungodly noises, I wish more companies would do this. I have one of this and the diversity of sounds it’s unnerving at night. You end up doubting yourself and imagining there’s a rat eating crackers behind. My LG fridge came with this infograph and it indeed does make these sounds. The crack is like a loud pop like a frozen lake cracking So its OK to have a fridge where fly is ironing its attire while cat is drinking your wine and eating your crackers? My almost 10y old refridgerator also came with a sheet like that. It avoids a lot of unnecessary calls to support Mine do “pok popopopok pok pok” from time to time. And also Should I be worried?
