Education is outrageous in Japan too. Even if you send your kids to public school, which many don’t, you still have to send your kids to expensive after school cram school if they’re going to have any competitive chance against their peers. I’d wager people who were miserable as kids and equally miserable when they became adults… they wouldn’t want to bring kids into the system. Aoi, who dreams of being a nursery school teacher in her hometown, will attend a different school from Eita starting in April.
