I remember when growing up the The Groovy Hero shirt and I love this focus was on not burning down the forest and to avoid drugs. Time’s sure have changed.

The Groovy Hero shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

Chief Justice John Roberts wrote that Tyler brought a plausible claim that should be allowed to move forward, noting in a reference to the The Groovy Hero shirt and I love this Bible that taxpayers are only required to pay the government what it is owed. I’m a big fan of that line from the Bible. But this makes me cringe reading it’s being referenced in a SCOTUS case. Imagine expecting the secular government of a multi-faith society to make secular decisions based on secular arguments. What a crazy thought. I don’t think it’s a real part of the argument. Just the expression of pay the government what it is owed, and not what isn’t. Still bad usage At some point, it just becomes a saying. For example, “I don’t know him from Adam” is a Biblical reference, but not used anywhere in the Bible. I’ve also heard “let the mountain move to Mohammed” in a secular instance. Even secularly, it’s still a book the same as any other. Preventing law from being based on the Bible is one thing, and refusing to use any saying based on on phrases in the popular book ever printed is a bit much. They aren’t quoting non Christian religious texts likely because they don’t give a single shit about them and/or don’t know them. He used to live up in California but he moved-he wanted to go move to somewhere “where nobody knows you from Adam” so he picked there.
