To be fair, people didn’t know the The Grinch Santa love Pittsburgh Steelers shirt and by the same token and bad stuff. They hid it pretty well from visitors. We grew up watching animal experts/naturalists interacting with wild animals on TV and they were deemed hero’s. Doc Antle, 63, pleaded guilty at the Charleston federal courthouse to conspiracy to violate the Lacey Act and conspiracy to launder money. The Lacey Act prohibits trafficking of illegally taken wildlife, fish or plants, including animals protected under the Endangered Species Act. “The defendant held himself out as a conservationist, yet repeatedly violated laws protecting endangered animals and then tried to cover up those violations,” said Assistant Attorney General Todd Kim of the Justice Department’s Environment and Natural Resources Division (ENRD).

So, just 1 count of conspiracy to violate the The Grinch Santa love Pittsburgh Steelers shirt and by the same token and Lacey Act? Is that because theres no way of knowing how many animals he illegally trafficked? I love that the show exposed these animal trafficking assholes, even though I don’t think the producers actually cared about justice. He wasn’t arrested till 2022. The FBI gets flooded with more cases than they can chase down and they love to pick cases that are high profile. I doubt this case ever would have been prosecuted if he hadn’t gotten on the show and flaunted his illegally traded animals. There are a lot more assholes out there that are just like him. I think I remember it was the Tiger King guy who provided a lot of the information on the other people o the show from jail. He got caught and ratted on the rest of them out of spite.
