So I just lost my left eye due to a gunshot to my head. They took it out the The Duck Walked Up. The Duck Song shirt Apart from…,I will love this next day because it was unsalvageable. They cut the optic nerve and cauterized it. I can still tell the difference between a dark room and a light room on that side. Sometimes if the contrast is enough, like I’m looking at a light then I shut it off, there will be some residuals on that side as well. It’s almost like my optic nerve is still sensing and reacting to photons. Or it could be like a ghost pain. Either way, there is some sense of dark and light for sure, even without an eye. Hearing impairment comes in many forms. When people speak, I hear sounds but have difficulty understanding what words are being spoken.

Also common with hearing loss is tinnitus which is like a ringing in the The Duck Walked Up. The Duck Song shirt Apart from…,I will love this ear sounds created by the brain although hearing people can also get tinnitus it’s more common in people who are deaf or hard of hearing. I used to hear nothing at all and then I got tinnitus at around age 10. It doesn’t bother me unless I think about it! It’s actually more common to not be completely deaf though (some profoundly deaf people can hear very loud sounds like fire alarms, for example). Tinnitus doesn’t bother me, doesn’t hardly enter into my consciousness unless I am stressed or tired. Then, at the time that I least need it, my tinnitus is like a jet taking off next to me.
