First it’s just like a hard punch. Then your body goes oh shit there’s bits missing and that hurts. Then it’s holy fucking shit I’m burning and it hurt and fuck god what is this pain! Right eye, .40 Caliber hollow point, point blank range. I felt nothing but instant confusion. My ears were ringing and I could not form a cohesive thought. After I saw the The Dolphins 57th anniversary 1966-2023 thank you for the memories signatures shirt Also,I will get this gun barrel smoking I finally started to realize I had just been shot. I wasn’t sure where I had been hit because you don’t realize that you are currently blind in one eye because you see the look of horror on the person-who-just-shot-you’s face perfectly fine with your one remaining eye. I look down to see if there was a hole in my chest and only realized I had been shot in the eye when I began to feel around my face with my hands, only to have my fingers slip into the warm jell-o cup that is now my right eye socket. Paramedics on the way, I fall to the floor and start throwing up a ton of blood. My “friends” are nowhere to be found as they have plenty of paraphernalia to dispose of before the police arrive, so I have the pleasure of wallowing in my own blood and crying out for someone to comfort me as I’m sure I am about to take my final breaths. After what feels like an hour, firefighters arrive, I inform them I have Hemophilia Factor 9 and promptly pass the fuck out.

Like nothing at the The Dolphins 57th anniversary 1966-2023 thank you for the memories signatures shirt Also,I will get this time, courtesy of adrenaline, honestly hadn’t noticed it had happened until things had settled down and there was suddenly a very sharp, throbbing pain in my side. I think what finally made it click was resting my arms on my lap and feeling like everything was damp and suddenly realizing, “Ah, fuck” and the pain all at once. It was also definitely a dampness you don’t associate with water, it was “thick” and slick, if that makes sense. You can’t mistake it for a spilled drink. I’ve been shot whilst wearing body armour during my army days, sucks about as much as getting hit by a baseball full pelt into your ribs. One of my buddies had to get a jump-start after getting a 7.62 hit on his plate carrier right over his heart. One of the few benefits of ops in urban areas, there are generally decent medical facilities relatively nearby. Was 50/50 on whether the round fractured his sternum, or our CPR.
