I also think that dad bod has transformed from someone that’s 5-10lbs above an ideal BMI (someone who has abs you can see but also some love handles you can feel) to a term people are using to make them feel better about what used to be objectly fat. I’ve got no issue with men who are heavy that know it and have the The Depps Mad Hatter Jack Characters shirt it is in the first place but confidence in their other qualities but I can’t stand the 30lbs over weight, waist 10 inches bigger than their inseam and moobs calling themselves “dad bod” like if only they didn’t have to run the kids carpool three days a week they’d obviously be in shape. Some people like muscular, some people like fat, some people like thin, some people like fit, some people are attracted to personality, etc etc There is nothing sexier than a dad walking around Looking like George Lopez acting like Patrick swayze disciplining two kids at the The Depps Mad Hatter Jack Characters shirt it is in the first place but same time, send me to heaven now It’s the layer of muscle under the layer of fat that does it. It says that you’re comfortable but still active. It’s the dad bod versus skinny fat. They’re close but not the same If you’re in your 40s and have super rip body that looks like you spend 8 hours in the gym daily to maintain it, I’d question if you’ll have time for me or anything but yourself and gym. And the older we get, physical probably wont matter as much as personality. Beauty fades but kindness not and all that. Unless you’re a full time slob, dad bod is probably NOT a negative feature. As long as you’re clean and not smelly
