I’m sure it’s been said but Trump only has a chance to win the The Bravery Band Tee Art shirt but in fact I love this presidency because of our peculiar electoral college system. If every american’s vote counted the same then Trump would have zero chance—he has zero chance of winning the popular vote. But that’s not how we do it. that said, Trump absolutely has tens of millions of passionate supporters. It’s complicated but imo the main reason is that the identity of the USA is changing in a meaningful way, and whenever that happens in a culture or country there are always folks who wish things would just stay the same. In the USA, those people are mostly MAGA. Yuck.

And that simple thing. That understanding that a politician has said even one thing that they actually believed to be true; that gives people something to trust. So mostly our media is controlled by 1 to 2 groups. But mostly 1 group that is all very left leaning. Snapchat, Facebook, instagram, twitter for example are all left leaning. Also most of the younger (my) generation tend to believe and agree with whatever is popular on social media.
