I was arrested once and hopefully last time a year ago. I was not stripped searched. They patted me down and let me go change into my jumpsuit alone. However other people arrested same day were strip searched. I have no idea why I wasn’t. I don’t have my money. I’m not famous or anything. Best I can figure is that I was told I was being arrested and just was no incident. I am in my 40’s with zero record. Heck I’m a POC and was thinking I was going to get shit treatment I wasn’t. I was very very lucky They let me into a room by myself and I changed out of my shorts. Then again, I was shirtless until they put a white shirt on me on the The Barbie Movie Logo Pink T-Shirt and I will buy this way there so I’m not sure if that made a difference. I have been arrested twice for non violent offenses. Both times I was made to get naked in front of the cop right before a mandatory shower where they spray lice repellent on you. Then they process you/ get you in your uniform/ so on. Until you’re arraigned, you’re held in booking. The time I got booked, in a city, was overnight, so, basically, no staff. Was not strip searched. Did have to give up my clothes and dress out, after getting arraigned in the morning. Was in a cell by myself until my PR bond was approved.

Second time was in the The Barbie Movie Logo Pink T-Shirt and I will buy this country. They couldn’t legally put me in the cell, since there was no toilet. I was handcuffed to a bench, instead. Got arraigned in the morning, and another PR bond. Yeah if they lock you up they’re going to make sure you don’t have anything on you and they’re going to take your clothes from you and give you jail clothes But, this is a bench warrant, which is a bit of a different beast from a normal arrest warrant. Yes, if you get stopped and your name is ran through NCIC, you’ll be arrested. And there’s a chance you’ll be taken to jail. Depending on where you live, a misdemeanor warrant is low priority and non-extraditable. Many jails – even for the jurisdiction that issued the bench warrant – may not even accept the warrant. Likely scenario for a misdemeanor bench warrant? You’ll be booked and released. You’ll literally be waving to the officer as they complete the electronic booking. There’s simply not enough space in most jails for them to accept low priority warrants.
