I wish people would just stop buying artificially scented/flavored things. It’s probably just the ethanol or isopropyl alcohol (drinking and rubbing alcohol) that was used as the solvent to dissolve the fragrances. They can weaken plastics and even strip paint. isn’t that because of the heat? why are ppl in the thread commenting like these things are leaking poison. aren’t they just alcohol, or are they really not safe to have plugged in? Y’all need to stop with all these scents in the house to cover up. Just clean up your house and open up the window. Of course if I pour the scent liquid on me or ingest it, or my cats ingest the liquid, that would be dangerous, but is there any proof or articles anyone can point me to that corroborates this seemingly paranoid school of thought? Besides everyone just saying “imagine what that’ll do to your lungs!” I’m just skeptical that a plug in scent diffuser or even a candle is harmful. Unless I’m putting it in my mouth. Man, the smell of those things sticks to clothes, Tupperware, basically permeates everything you own… people from homes that use these usually REEK but are noseblind to it themselves. Whenever I smell fake smell like this it makes me question what the fake smell is supposed to be covering up. Usually I assume the house or place is just dirty but it could be worse.

Reed diffusers can be good, but for the love of God use just two reeds to start with and not leave the room reeking Ugh. Never use those. If you have to, get a essential oil defuser and check the safety of the scents you want to use. Peppermint oil literally makes you smarter (it’s a stimulant)
