I’ve resorted to taking two showers a day – one in the That’s a smashing blouse shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this morning after my workout and another at night bc it’s helpful to have a stream of water when trying to remove my effing mascara. I use that Kose Softymo Speedy and I end up rubbing my individual lashes between my fingers with this stuff on them for minutes at a time and the mascara refuses to come off. I use another cleaner after and it makes almost no difference. I get out of the shower with raccoon eyes. Then I take that Softymo Speedy on qtips and rub my eyelashes SOME MORE, AFTER the shower, and it takes 6 qtips to get all the way clean and then I have a bunch of shit in my eyes. WTF?? The only method I’ve ever found that really worked was either microfiber reusable makeup cloths (got an eye infection and almost lost my vision – not willing to revisit these) and Neutrogena makeup remove cloths WITH liquid remover added to them. But they’re expensive, wasteful, and burn my skin.

Please makeup redditors, tell me there’s another way! A different mascara, a different cleanser, whatever, to save myself from so much rubbing and getting shit in my eyes. It makes me avoid wearing makeup which pisses me off.That’s…weird. I know this is obnoxious of me to ask, but…are you SURRRRRRE that it’s not waterproof? Sometimes the That’s a smashing blouse shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this difference is super invisible, like one teeeny blue sticker on the bottom of the tube. Either way, it shouldn’t be this hard. Maybe your lashes are super dry, and they’re just holding the pigment? Do you change your mascara tube more often than every other month? One caution is please don’t rub that part of your eye so much, with anything. When my mascara wouldn’t come off (I switched to tubing mascara) I would just leave it, and whatever was left always came off in the morning wash. For context, I keep my face fastidiously clean. Soap and water gets rid of bacteria, even if all the debris is still there. I’d rather leave a little pigment than irritate my delicate eye area.
