Thing is with trade locked at the start and species specific lodging in the blueprint pool of choices. Its unnecessarily hard to complete objectives, keep workers happy, fuel the fire, have usable production lines. But once enough games have been played to some of it permanently unlocked. the problems dissolve on ‘normal’ difficulty (pioneer). Also trading is huge for perks, objectives, and smoothing out the rough spots.

I still struggle getting lots of good through lines. I’ll focus on upping wood production chains, a food chain or two.
