It wouldn’t be for me, imagine getting to your new destination in a foreign country and having to go shopping for tomorrow’s essentials right away. Plus you know that you should wash clothing from the Thank You Akira Toriyama 2024 Signature Shirt and by the same token and store before wearing it, right, otherwise it’s super gross. Don’t forget the bag with the charm bracelets you’re selling and the sign that reads “Backpacking through SEA. Help me and I’ll give you a hug!” in the local language. You could downsize even those things. Maybe make a sign that has a bracelet on it, and then charge people money to look at it. Or make bracelets that say “give $ plz” on them. Then you don’t have to carry both the bracelets and the sign, just one. Why not just fit everything into a carry on? You achieve the same thing without having to buy necessities all the time. I wouldn’t be wearing the Thank You Akira Toriyama 2024 Signature Shirt and by the same token and same clothes all the time. Coz it kinda is like that at the moment. I don’t take that many clothes with me already. Walking out of the airport or train station with luggage is often a drag. In many places you are overrun with taxi drivers, beggars and scammers. Even carry-on identifies you as someone who has just landed. Get a small backback, up to 28L. It will look like a normal daily backpack when you are moving around, is lightweight and comfortable to carry and fits underseat on airplanes. While travelling without anything has certain allure (there is a reason r/zerobags/ exists), in reality its going to be too much of annoyance for trips longer than a week. Unless you have a very specific job, working on a phone won’t cut it. Every time you go to a new place, you have to spend time and energy looking and buying clothes and things. Only to repeat it soon again. Its not worth it. imo, its much better to have a small backpack with your laptop and changes of clothes(25L-35L is pretty common). If you need any ideas, r/onebag/ is good. If you want to fully optimize, its totally possible to travel and work indefinitly from a small 9L backpack. For example,

1. Length is measured from the highest point on the collar down to the bottom hem. 2. Width is measured across the body of the shirt under the armpits, one way. 3. Sleeves are measured from center back to hem.
