I was born on one of those bases (not getting specific for privacy reasons). The idea that the Texas Rangers Sport Team World Series 2023 Shirt also I will do this place name on my birth certificate suddenly doesn’t exist anymore is….odd. Or to throw extra shade on the Neo-Confederates Fort Longstreet or Fort Mahone (two Confederate generals who turned a new leaf after the war). There is a Fort Meade and a Fort Sheridan, as well as a Camp Sherman. There was a Camp Grant that closed after WW2. Ft Sheridan in Illinois was closed in 1993, there’s now an Army Reserves base there using a portion of the original installation. The red light district outside Bragg (now Liberty) is on Bragg Blvd. Next, we need to focus our attention on ensuring that that stretch of road is renamed Liberty Way. That way, when soldiers pick up a hooker, they can get some freedom along with their STD. ETA: I didn’t like Bragg either, but there are enough BAMFs over the last hundred years defaulting to a nothing name like Fort Liberty doesn’t make any sense. Happy to see some wakefulness in the military, as certain crowds are hoping in vain that they will assist in overthrowing democratic elections that see Democrat victories. Or maybe I’m just imagining that.

It was probably only even named Fort Bragg to spite Lost Cause mythology scapegoat James Longstreet who was also fro NC but was actually competent but became a supporter of post-war reconstruction. I was going to get on here and say that the Texas Rangers Sport Team World Series 2023 Shirt also I will do this name shouldn’t have been a problem because Bragg was an absolutely awful general but it seems almost 500 people beat me to it. Why it’s taken this long to change the name of a fort that was named for an insurrectionist is astounding. I also shudder to think people would name something after Trump. Nope, whoever’s leading the police union back then says “Nah, there is no white nationalism in the police department”, and lo and behold. Look what happens nowadays.
