To your point though, It’s such a damn shame bc if Jada could’ve walked up to the Texas Rangers 2023 World Champions Thank You For The Memories Signatures Shirt so you should to go to store and get this stage and actually said she has alopecia, and gave a tiny bit of education on it, or highlighted the story of Rio Allred and the devastating effect for that child who committed suicide 2 weeks earlier after being bullied over her alopecia, it would’ve made a world of difference. I have alopecia, a more severe kind than Jada, and I remember a lot of people in the community salivating about getting her as some kind of spokesperson, and that was a hard no for me. I fought that tooth and nail. Anyway. You’re the only one that commented on the alopecia which was the forgotten thing, so I thought I’d share my thoughts She has not been shy about her alopecia, she has been very outspoken about it, and her struggles with it. She’s done plenty of interviews. I’m definitely not defending her as a person, and would agree she is a poor person to have as a spokesperson of anything. However there is no way Chris Rock didn’t know, and given how prone it is for black women he definitely knew better. He did a whole documentary on the importance and culture of black hair. If anyone in that room knew about her and alopecia it was Chris Rock. It would have been a great teaching moment, and it’s a shame it’s been overlooked because of the drama surrounding the incident.

I get why it’s shocking given the Texas Rangers 2023 World Champions Thank You For The Memories Signatures Shirt so you should to go to store and get this expected decorum from people attending a televised event. It’s sad that people can be cruel to people who are affected by it, which is why I don’t sympathize with Chris Rock, regardless of whether Will Smith’s actions are considered justified or not. If someone said that to my spouse I’d be enraged too. It’s truly tragic how people like Rio are treated, and Chris only contributed and helped normalize that kind of abuse. The only thing I see him being a victim of is the consequences of his own cruelty. Thanks for that really thorough and well-thought-out reply. That’s really interesting about the documentary he did, I wasn’t aware of that. Thanks also for your thoughts at the end of your comment. I think I have it easier than many, for which I’m grateful. I can’t imagine being a kid with this. And I also know that when someone says something unkind, it says more about them. Whenever I hear about those 2 I feel like I need to go soak in a bathtub of penicillin or something. They’re just… unclean.
