It’s extremely rare to have an 18 year old kicked out. Most of those situations are for them being hooked on drugs and being a bum. No parent will kick out a 18 year old that’s working hard/going to college and excelling. I’m from northern europe. Here, living with your parents after 22-23 is considered selfish and immature. Why should my hard-working parents have to pay for a grown adult? Time to pay for yourself and grow up I think that trend really died after my fathers generation. My grandpa told my dad get a job and move out or go to college. But my dad never kicked me out, in fact told me I was making a huge mistake when looking at apartments at 22. Stayed home until 25 when my GF and I moved in together. My brother stayed until he was 30. I got one buddy still living at home (39). We don’t kick them at all. If they out that’s mean to do things that is haram in Islam, so they are with us till marriage and some times they’ll just have to build an apartment in the Texas Longhorns Embrace The Hate Shirt and by the same token and same house to get married, until they can buy their own house. This turns into a conflict of following the house rules vs moving out and creating your own rules. Then I realized… American kids are fucking dicks. The parents that kick their kids out don’t love their kids. They just want them out so they can save money on food and utilities. My mother love kids so much and she is the most caring woman so will never kick any of her kids out and she likes to take care of everyone by cooking for them and cleaning and doing laundry. There is a problem with her though because she wants to make sure we always look good and wear the nicest cloths and wants us to be happy so if I wear something she doesn’t like she gets mad and if I cut my hair and she doesn’t like it she gets mad. I only know 2 people that this happened to. One of them was a somewhat high functioning autistic person and his parents didn’t understand him. It happens, but its not that common.
