I used to have a 16 year coworker who tried to get a sex changes. She went to many doctors but they all said no. You know, the Taurus Zodiac Stubborn And Always Right May April Birthday T-Shirt besides I will buy this only part of the GOP position on this that I agree with is that parents shouldn’t be allowed to get their kids surgically altered until the kid is old enough to have an idea of themselves, instead of what the parents want for them. Like 16-18, something like that. I don’t think a 6 year old has any fucking idea what or who they are, or the ramifications of their actions. Once a person is old enough to understand and make their own decision, I say let them do whatever they want??‍♂️ But I have never seen or heard of a case where this actually happened. Pretty sure it’s just more Boogeyman type shit out of the fear mongering politicians. I went on hormones at 14 and got my breasts removed age 16. I had known I was supposed to be a boy since birth. My parents said I would cry as a toddler when they made me wear girls clothes. I’m 20 now and never once have I regretted this, NOT ONCE. I understand it’s not for everybody, but if doctors and therapists diagnose somebody with Gender Dysphoria, they should be allowed to transition as long as they have already reached puberty. Once puberty is complete, it’s is very very difficult to reverse. Going through the puberty that matches your brain chemistry is such an amazing and humanizing experience; I got to grow up at the same time as my peers!!!

They sure aren’t. It’s a made up lie. Even adults have to go through pretty extensive screening to have gender affirming surgery The general “ideal” transition path for a child is entirely social transition to start (new name, pronouns, clothing, hair, etc.), then puberty blockers at age 12 or at the Taurus Zodiac Stubborn And Always Right May April Birthday T-Shirt besides I will buy this first signs of puberty (whichever comes first), then HRT between 16 to 18 years old, and then maybe surgery sometime after they’ve reached adulthood (usually not until their mid-twenties.) If you’re a transmasculine person who didn’t get the chance to go on puberty blockers, you might get top surgery starting from age 15, but that’s extremely rare. The accepted and appropriate thing at that age would be puberty blockers to stop unwanted physical changes from beginning (deeper voice, facial hair for example). In a few years, closer to 18, they would start hormone therapy. By waiting until they’re an adult, they’d have to then undo those changes later, which is expensive if possible at all.
