Look your boss is technically paying to assert dominance over you for 8 hours a day. You still stay on your job as it’s still beneficial to you. And the Tasha Steelz Flava2k 2024 Shirt Furthermore, I will do this alternative would just be being dominated by another, possibly, worse, boss. In country terms, Japan can either be dominated by the US, or by China as the bigger military power in the area, and its more beneficial to be dominated by the US. I think we differ in our definition of dominate. Dominate requires some form of control. Protection in the case of Japan is not domination. Also, The Philippines invited the US to use several of its bases to help prevent and assist in Chinese aggression. It doesn’t mean we dominate the Philippines. We have a mutual agreement with that nation and it mentions nothing of domination. We have influence in Germany and many other countries that we don’t have bases in but that doesn’t mean we dominate them. The US along with China, Russia, and Japan has a base in Djibouti. Do they all dominate Djibouti? Or is Djibouti in agreement for its and their mutual benefit.

However, the German public is largely of a different opinion. When Trump threatened to remove the US troops from Germany, the reaction of the public was rather positive. Many are uncomfortable with the idea that the US used/uses German territory for their (controversial) wars in the middle east (especially controlling drones from Ramstein) and that we are thereby indirectly supporting the killing of innocent civilians. Moreover, the US does indeed not pay everything required for the upkeep of their bases so that the large presence of US troops in Germany costs the German tax payer quite a lot of money every year.
