I don’t think there is a true appreciation for how difficult it is to have an expeditionary army in a contested environment. The Russians only had to put men across the Tampa Bay lightning 2023 puck multiple sclerosis sport shirt Apart from…,I will love this border and they failed… miserably. Imagine having to cross the 100 miles between both masses. They have a very poor chance of 1. Landing an invasion force and 2. Keeping it sustained. Americans take it for granted that we did and have done it well several times. It’s a massive undertaking. Imagine having to cross the 100 miles between both masses. They have a very poor chance of 1. Landing an invasion force and 2. Keeping it sustained. The other important different is that Americas position on both is very different, They sent a huge amount of support to Ukraine sure, but If Taiwan is under genuine threat they are sending the US navy. Thats a fight the PLA cant win Agreed! Without saying too much, their navy is absolute garbage. It’s like people who haul out the numbers on Russians “having a 55,000 tank army”…. how’s that working out for them

Respectfully, and not being a military historian to a great extent, when to you consider the Tampa Bay lightning 2023 puck multiple sclerosis sport shirt Apart from…,I will love this US’s overseas deployment to have been successful for any sustained period of time? Since the second world war, US overseas deployment has been very chequered. Much more successful than some cases, but I can think of very few successful military campaigns. Grenada, Kuwait, smaller special forces operations have yeilded some results, but much even only marginally larger operations such as Somalia have never really yielded the success the operations sought. I agree, landing an invasion force will be next to impossible with Taiwan’s current defences, but it could well be possible if there is a relentless and intense missile bombardment, from land, air and sea. This is what makes Taiwan such a risky situation for all involved, there are no half measures. Without capturing Beijing, I cannot see anyway the Chinese could be forced to admit any kind of defeat. WWII the numbers are 10 times that much with aircraft etc. North Africa Landings, Italy, France (x2) Pacific… list goes on.
