Yeah, it’s pretty messed up that she cancelled the Talkin’ baseball American spork shirt moreover I love this dinner on such short notice. But if you guys have known each other for years, you should try talking with her first instead of straight up ghosting her. Disappointment mostly comes from expectations. I’d recommend talking it out because it could just be a small misunderstanding. I wouldn’t ghost her but let her know how you feel. Then decide if you want to end the friendship and let her know why. If you truly just want a friendship with her then you are sabotaging it big time by acting the way you are. Yes, she invited you over but she also doesn’t owe you anything. No one does. It doesn’t matter if it was Tet or a Thursday, shit and life happens. I mean, if your story is exactly like you say then she invited you to something. Meaning that she wanted to spend friendship time with you. Now, if you invited yourself in some way then that’s a different story because she felt obligated and I know that’s a big thing in VN culture. Maybe others have made excuses to cancel with you in VN just to get out of things but what if she’s being 100% honest? Do you feel good about your reaction if she really did have to do emergency babysitting? If not, then you need to reassess. Either way, if this is her first infraction then don’t punish her for it. Now, if she does it more times (where she invited you without prompting) then you’ve obviously got a flake or at least someone who isn’t interested in friendship. At that point, feel free to move on and do it respectfully.
