If I serve up the Take Me To The Other Side Throwback Spacemen 1988 T-Shirt in other words I will buy this plates (a rarity) I will not expect them to finish. They did not decide how much came onto their plate, I don’t know how hungry they are or sometimes I don’t know if they will like the food either. My dad did this to me. I especially dreaded eating out, which was thankfully infrequent. I could never finish and instead of just getting a doggy bag my dad would browbeat and humiliate me every single time. My daughter has ARFID, which is this eating disorder where she basically refuses to eat anything but “safe” food. If we don’t force her to eat, she simply won’t (and if we only made “safe” foods-basically candy and refined carbs-she’d be incredibly unhealthy). So yeah, we force her to eat. Because she has to learn to work through it and that’s what the dietitian recommended.

I remember one time sneaking off to the Take Me To The Other Side Throwback Spacemen 1988 T-Shirt in other words I will buy this bathroom to throw a burger down the toilet and pretend that I ate it… but my mom knew and I got in trouble. I remember being in the hospital several times for dehydration. My mom said she used to cry because I looked like I was starving and she was trying so hard to get me to eat. Ultimately, Doctors felt it was because I was born with such large tonsils that it affected my taste and made food difficult to swallow. I had choked on food most of the time. And i was much better after they were removed. When the was at home, I ate what I wanted, and Mum never tried to force anything on me. I’m quite old: it was the 1960s and all of my teachers had gone through WW2. At school, we were FORCED to eat everything. If it was fat, gristle or burned, if it was overcooked, tasted horrible, looked horrible, smelled nasty. If it was sitting in its own grease, or gritty. Honestly, it was completely disgusting.
