I mean, there are 2 ways to look at the Taeko Ōnuki a Japanese singer-songwriter and musician T-Shirt and I will buy this issue. And it’s better to tell yourself you will find love because if you tell yourself you won’t, then you won’t. there’s a concept called “self-fulfilling prophecy”. This is what you are doing when you say either of those things to a person. You are almost willing them to find someone or stay alone. Same way if you say them to yourself. I don’t say that they will, I say that they can. Anyone can, it just might not be exactly what they were looking for. Think of it this way, you can want all you want, but if you never put your self out there your not going to find anyone. But Because your actively searching for and wanting it, this makes you not only more receptive and open for it, but your also actively trying to fulfill that need in your life, thus in a round about way making it happen. because the chances you’ll find at least one partner during your lifetime are statistically higher than that never happening. it’s not really a “very good chance” that happens, being well and truly forever alone is really not that common. obviously it always could happen and is probably more likely if you’re in a bad place for it in one way or another, be that mentally, location wise or otherwise. but most people that want to and aren’t complete shut-ins do find someone at some point.

Taeko Ōnuki a Japanese singer-songwriter and musician T-Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

It’s not random, but it also isn’t a foregone conclusion. I have a brother who is still single at 57, not because he wants to be but because he has some personality traits that make it very hard to find someone willing to put up with that, and he doesn’t have the Taeko Ōnuki a Japanese singer-songwriter and musician T-Shirt and I will buy this self-awareness to recognize those issues and make changes. And I say that as his sister who loves him. As someone who’s struggling to date right now because of past traumas when I was younger, the statistics of living a full life without finding love somehow is pretty low. You kind of have to go out of your way to go a full life never finding someone. Sometimes it’s reasonable, like social anxiety, but there are 8 billion people in the world. In my young and naïve opinion, the odds are more in your favor than not with just the bare effort. I’ve two dates in my life, so if I can go on a date, anyone can.
