I get that I’m going to be downvoted into hell for this comment, but the T. J. Watt American football linebacker for the Pittsburgh Steelers T-Shirt and I love this truth still stands. You broke her trust of you as a caring, loving parent. She might forget the incident, but over time she will remember the feeling of betrayal. She would eat slightly melted Maltesers out of the boys (clean and sanitised) potty whilst he was watching and going “mmmmmmm nice poos” Joke is completely fine. However, unless you’re from Birmingham/Black Country saying ‘mommy’ instead of ‘mummy’ is definitely not ok! Did she feel heartbroken at any point? If yes, then I would probably want to spare my children that feeling. There are loads of other people who’ll do that to them. Nah, seconds after the penny dropped that she had missed the meal and we saw her furrowed brow we told her it was cool. She was still sleepy and she asked me me to carry her in and we joked about it her on the way in. Children should be raised to feel safe and supported. They should be reassured, knowing they can trust their parents. Playing tricks on your daughter for laughs is pretty discipicable. Experiences in early years shape your psychology for the rest of your life. Please be better than this for your daughter’s sake Honestly, as someone whose family did this kind of thing to them all the time growing up, I think it sucks. That said, I have autism, so when somebody tells me something, I take it at face value. Other issues with my family, in addition to this, eventually saw me move to the United States, and I pretty much cut my family off. I periodically talk to my dad to keep the peace somewhat, but that’s it. So I guess, in my view, if I had a kid, I probably wouldn’t do that kind of thing. i think pranks on children are cruel…ALWAYS…you laugh at them and make them feel foolish and that gives you pleasure? rethink your parenting and try to create a situation where you can all laugh together…not at their expense…FYI…i don’t care what anyone thinks of my opinion…keep it to yourself…thanks…

Teasing children is fine: joking and playing is part of learning. I often tell students that I have a pet tiger and working out that I’m lying is both fun and part of the T. J. My fourteen year old once convinced my ten year old that spiced onions were chutney. Ten year old is the only one who can’t handle any spice at all drank about four pints of milk in tears after. They both hide in the dark and jump out on folk who pass or make loud creepy noises – even their 1 year old sister who now won’t walk past the airing cupboard because of it. Ten year old once swapped fourteen year olds cup of diluting juice for paintwater (as in cleaned his paintbrushes in) and that started a fight.
