Then we lay there til he’s snoring. For a successful transfer from cuddle to bassinet: sprinkle some breastmilk onto the sheets (if you are BF or pumping). It will make the sleeping space smell like you. Before we feed, I put a heating pad in the bassinet. Take it out before laying baby in. That combo of warmth and smell was the only way he would stay asleep when transferring. Now he’s much more independent, I just slide him in, couple pats on the bum, and we’re good for about 3-4 hours.

The cuddles are so golden.. it’s like you spend so much energy trying to get them to sleep. Then that little contented ball of squish is purring on your shoulder and you never want to put them down.
