When I was a server, I worked in a small Italian restaurant for a couple of years. One night, a customer said she didn’t like Caesar salad, so I brought her a salad with spring mix instead. If you divided and gave one million to each citizen, poverty and hunger would end… I have a hard time deciding between the woman who told me that wine lowers sugar levels in blood, the one that poured aloe Vera gel in one of her eyes because “the box said it was for irritation and soreness” (of the skin! Not your eye FFS!) and the hairdresser that once told me that my hair loss was because I washed my hair daily, and that caused a “putrefaction of the scalp.” (No, I have androgenic alopecia btw). I’m a medical doctor (M.D. degree) so all of the above sounded dumb AF to me.

I called out “Reload”which alerts everyone that we are going to stop for less than 30 seconds as I put a fresh mag on the Arri 435 ES camera and reload it so we can keep filming. To which, the Director turned to me and in all seriousness and in an apoplectic rage screamed,” I don’t have fucking time for a reload! Just keep shooting! “. I stared at him until he realized what he’d said and then the sun set…
