I dated a girl from New Mexico and she also had similar stories. Even her passport was rejected by a bouncer at a bar once because he didn’t know what real ones looked like either. No you’ve created one where dumb people not only survive but thrive and everything is brought down to their level. Not American, but I live in British Columbia. I’ve encountered people who actually think BC is actually a British territory. I mean technically you should have renamed it to Canadian Columbia when you went independent. That is how those naming conventions work Fun fact, when Washington split off from Oregon the Supernatural Dean Winchester Mug Shot T-Shirt Also,I will get this settlers there wanted to name the new territory “Columbia”. We could’ve had British Columbia and American Columbia right next to each other, but Congress changed the name because the District of Columbia already existed. Why they chose to name it Washington instead of Columbia to avoid confusion with Washington, DC is one of the great unanswered questions of the American experiment. Oh, we Washingtonians know it all too well. We resent that we have to specify “State” after our name, while the city doesn’t have to specify anything. Yea I mean the Supernatural Dean Winchester Mug Shot T-Shirt Also,I will get this city was named to honor president Washington, so it would be rude to change it. Maybe Washington should change their name? We were first after all. Besides as any true Vancouver Islander will tell you it’s real name is “The Island” the same way everything between Alberta and Ontario is “The Prairies” and anything east of Manitoba is “Back East.” As for Alberta it’s like your Onlyfans account: You’re aware of how valuable it is but you don’t talk about it in polite company except if you’re super into it then it becomes your entire personality. In Europe, certain city dwellers will refer to their city as “the City” and everything not in their city as “the Parking lot” The Canadian monarchy is a separate crown to the British monarchy, it’s just that the same person holds 12 different crowns. Each crown is legally distinct though. I live in BC too and I’ve heard it mistaken for both the UK (British) and South America (Columbia/Colombia, they have no clue it’s not spelled the same way). By Americans. Ah, Spokane. The Florida of Washington State. Come for the Juggalos, stay for the batshit insane right wing politicians. The New Mexico license plate has “New Mexico, USA” on it. For some reason, my Pennsylvania plate does not list USA as my country. Hmmm.
