Ok, if light can’t escape a black hole, at give or take a million times faster than the Stop Asking Why I’m An Ashole Donkey Mechanic Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this speed of sound, what are we listening to? I remember a few weeks back someone made a post on the most disappointing things on reddit….this is the opposite of that, well done. I thought there wasn’t any sound in space. I mean these isn’t any medium for sound to travel so how did they get this?? I thought nothing escapes a black hole, I.E.: sound is not faster than light. Can anyone explain how we can capture sound from one? You wouldn’t hear a black hole bc nothing can escape. More than likely what they are measuring is stuff at the edge, thousands of years in the past, if not more. This is not the actual sound as sound doesn’t propagate in space. They use the visual image to produce the tune. More of it here: How can sound escapr when light cannot? Im guessimg this ks not the sound of the black hole but stuff being dragged into it? So fake, sound doesn’t travel through space so this is a manipulation of an X-ray signal converted to an analog sound signal. It’s like taking an X-ray at a Drs office and something converts that to a “sound”. You can make it sound like anything.

Maxed out the Stop Asking Why I’m An Ashole Donkey Mechanic Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this volume so I could hear it and right at the end when it stopped I had a panic moment that someone might have cut a scream in it and I was about to blow out my speakers. Thank you for not doing that universe. Is this one of those things where it’s not actually the “sound” but radio waves overlayed to a program that interprets it as sound? Or something .. So, I’m assuming there’s no real sound, they’re just taking the frequencies of whatever waves are able to somehow escape the event horizon/bounce back, and just making that a “sound?” Or is there somehow sounds waves emitting from a black hole when light can barely escape. Cause if so, come of eldtrich terrors!! Since black holes have such high levels of gravity that even light can’t escape, you would expect that sound doesn’t escape either.
