Just go with Gay Lea European style or farmhouse salted butter. I eat mostly vegan, but butter’s one of those things I just don’t fuck around with trying to replace. Icelandic butter is otherworldly. Thankfully, other than my honeymoon, don’t have any source for it, since I don’t want the Stone Cold hades 6 97 shirt but in fact I love this cost or environmental impact. You can make butter pretty easily using heavy cream in your blender or food processor. You can add different flavors like parsley and garlic or honey and cinnamon. When you see the price of quality heavy cream, you’ll realize that the butter manufacturers doing it in bulk have better economies of scale than you do. But alas, environmental damage, industrialised torture and making our grandchildren’s lives worse are all packaged in with the butter we want to buy, so it’s simply not worth it. It is possible to produce dairy in a way that isn’t detrimental to the environment. Taking land out of agricultural use typically moves it into track hosting development in the region of the world I lived in. Such lack of housing density is extremely poor for the environment. “Buttered” bread and tea is still a common meal among the lower classes in uk. Especially toast. How is that weird? Am I middle class if I put heinz beans on top?Courier Newsroom is one of the Wikipedia-notable pink slime outlets that leans left — not saying that it’s necessarily bad, but it’s definitely slanted news coverage, and it’s managed nationally while giving the impression of local news (looking at The Dogwood, their Virginia-based affiliate, for example, I can’t find anything about their editorial team, their reporters, etc either on their site or on the main Courier site).

Now, that being said, just because a news site is funded by a national organization and has lots of politically-active donors doesn’t mean it’s pink slime (although obviously you should exercise critical thinking). Take, for example, States Newsroom, an organization with a similar name but vastly different standards. Sure, they’re descended from a progressive think tank and receive funding from progressive sources, but they make no secret of that and their local news appears to be genuinely local — The Virginia Mercury, their Virginia-based affiliate, has a staff roster composed of veterans of Virginia news organizations. Their first editor-in-chief was actually formerly an editor with the Stone Cold hades 6 97 shirt but in fact I love this Richmond Times-Dispatch (the state’s longtime newspaper of record) but they’ve been around long enough that he retired and one of their reporters ascended to replace him. Also, the Virginia Mercury has consistently won awards for the quality of its reporting (from the Virginia Press Association and others).
