You see, there’s this country called the United States, and it’s made up of 50 States, and Puerto Rico isn’t one of those 50 States, so it doesn’t get treated like one of those 50 States. Just like Guam or American Samoa. They aren’t states. They won’t be treated like states. Puerto Rico doesn’t have the same federal laws, their drinking age is 18, not 21, that’s federal law in the US. Puerto Rico is a territory, not a state, so it will not be treated the same as a state. Puerto Rico isn’t even an Incorporated Territory, it’s Unincorporated. You can do some quick Google searches if you want more info about the differences, but yeah, Puerto Rico doesn’t get treated like most of the US because it isn’t one of the U Ss. And plenty of Puerto Ricans don’t wanna become a state either.
