Causing pressure in the markets to increase dramatically, everyone hanging tightly onto their purses, and the wealthy to publicly abandon their scruples more and more in a bid to maintain relative economic power. The good news is that we are transitioning away from gasoline and diesel for use in cars. And In the United States, gas/diesel are like 1% of electricity production, so its not like we’re trading car engines for power plants. The demand for gas will continue to drop as the transition speeds up, and thankfully we’re energy independent once you remove cars, tractor trailers, and city buses from the equation

Yah all the Star Frontiers face of the enemy shirt it is in the first place but takes in this thread are half baked. They are cutting supply because demand is down. Demand growth is close to being in terminal decline. OPEC will continue to cut as demand dwindles. Unfortunately the way we trade this very important commodity has lead us to this. Quite a bit of divestment is happening there and we still need it so OPEC has actually taken on the role of keeping the price stable so we can continue to pump. In turn they are keeping prices high enough that alternatives are more appealing. This is a good thing all the way around even tho it hurts people’s pockets. We should want high oil and gas prices tho. We should demand cheaper healthcare, housing, etc.. The problem is that the high cost of fuel is being triple passed backed on to consumers with increase cost of everything else instead of companies actually trying to cut on it and go green. Doesn’t matter if i go an buy an electric car if the my grocery company or farmer aren’t doing the same to save on the major inscrease in grocery cost.
