I just recently listened to the Dollop episode on Powell and man, what a fucked up story that is. The US is fascinating when you’re an outsider looking in, can’t imagine it being as fun when you’re an actual citizen. It’s not fun if you have an ounce of empathy or compassion for the people who are getting stepped on, or the foresight to understand it’s just a matter of time before you’re also stepped on. My brother was basically murdered in his hospital bed at UBHs military wing at Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas. Army covered that shit right up and said it was an accidental overdose. Giving him an extra Ambien is an accident, giving him enough ambien and seroquil to kill a small horse, is not. I would say their first mistake was saying “You’re a cop and so am I. If either of us ever do anything wrong, no matter what that is including murder, we support each other”.

When I was a kid I would sometimes fantasize about taking over the Springfield Falcons Retro Defunct Ice Hockey T-Shirt But I will love this world and fixing the problems I saw in it. As I got older I realized all the problems were caused by people, and I couldn’t fix that. Trying to ‘fix’ people is not something that ends well for anyone. Then I had this fantasy everyone in the world would die but I could somehow save a decent percentage of them and I had the power and ability to choose only ‘good’ people. Then I realized within a generation or two everything would be the same again. Now I fantasize I win Powerball (or something) which is hard because I don’t play. I’ll buy an Island, or a mountain or something. Become a hermit. But a really rich hermit, not one of those guys who doesn’t bathe and only eats dead things he finds on the ground. Yep. #3 is where I’m at. I leave my house when I’m done work and probably 1/5 chance something happens that makes me go ‘This is why I stay at home’
