My friend teaches down south (Alabama) and they refuse to let her teach how “the Spirit Animal Fossils Paleontologist Fossil Hunting T-Shirt Besides,I will do this north won the war” and how “it is not a choice on sexual orientation and preference” they are trying to make her teach just this basically. It’s fucking asinine believing this is the correct decision for the future of America. The amount of people who support this sort of regressive and vindictive legislation gets smaller every day, and it’s very unpopular with younger generations. Edit: I know those blocks vote consistently, but it’s still not strategically sound, even with disenfranchising efforts, to hedge your bets on rapidly shrinking demographics. It’s a balancing act that is extremely difficult to maintain, and while they keep courting the crazies, it just solidifies their losses in other demographics. The combination of bigotry and the hyper focus on intangible, made up, culture war nonsense have a majority of conservatives living in absolute terror, thinking they’re fighting for their lives, checking under their beds for CRT 5g trans migrant caravans.

Before someone counters me with “it’s not a majority”, what I said is the Spirit Animal Fossils Paleontologist Fossil Hunting T-Shirt Besides,I will do this core platform of the Republican party. Stupidity, the culture war, bigotry, and crazy conspiracy theories. Conspiracy theories are so central to the Republican platform that it is a core requirement to leave the door open to the idea of the 2020 election being stolen from Trump – and if you don’t, you get primaried with a serious risk of losing. Or, if you’re Ron DeSantis, you can’t even mention the fact you got your booster shot because your base is legitimately insane and that would hurt your numbers. You can’t name multiple tangible policies Republicans run on, because they don’t exist. This is what people are voting R for – a vast majority of them.
