You know, you may be experiencing gender dysphoria. It’s possible you’re nonbinary or gender fluid. Have you explored this feeling with a therapist? Is there a queer community you can connect with online or locally to you? For me, it’s more than just society and gender roles. I hate that I have a uterus and therefore am expected by society to have a child. If I don’t have one, then I’m judged as selfish, not fulfilling my biological duty as a woman. I can ignore people’s opinions and simply not have a child, but I have to suffer through PMS, periods, and pain every month because of a biological process I will never go through. Doctors care more about my potential to have a baby than my own health and wants. However I don’t really want to go through the Sparx Pow shirt but in fact I love this effort of changing my body, so it is what it is, I guess.

As a man I find it unfair that it seems completely normal for women being able to go clothes shopping in the Sparx Pow shirt but in fact I love this male section, but I’ve never seen guys lurking in the women section to buy clothes…. I think you idealize what being a man is like today. Women invariably have it far worse and are definitely treated far worse, patriarchy is real for sure. People still treat men like shit though and it doesn’t feel enjoyable or liberating being a man at all. Every day as a man I see multiple comments shitting on men in some way on social media or irl. If you don’t follow traditional toxic masculinity standards, people consistently shit on you for it too. I got unsolicited balding comments and insults from women on OLD constantly before I left. I wouldn’t enjoy being a woman, and I know I have privilege, but I get treated like dogshit still as a man still daily because I’m a man. It’s still not as bad as being a woman, but I hate gender norms and being a man just as much as you hate your ish. They just harm men in different ways and our voice on the subject is completely silenced and chastised because women always have it worse.
