He thinks this is an appropriate response to, at best, a reasonable request, and at worst, a misunderstanding. i wish we could go back to the good old days, when men were still real men, and had rotting teeth and bleeding gums hahahaha This was my first reaction too. “Wow, standards are just too high. Now she wants him to practice proper oral hygiene??” Some guys out there are just doing literally the bare minimum to stay alive. Usually after breakfast, but if I’m on my way to work I usually have something to eat in the car on my way to save time so I brush before when I work. I prefer to brush before breakfast. When you eat breakfast before you brush your teeth, the bacteria is still in your mouth, and it will also eat some of that food and poop acid. That acid temporarily softens your enamel and brushing teeth with softened enamel can cause some additional wear over time. The downside of course is that brushing teeth before a meal can affect how it tastes, but I will also say that after having this habit for years, I feel like the morning breath affects the way the food tastes too, and I have come to prefer breakfast with my mouth feeling clean rather than eating with a mouth that feels dirty. At the end of the day, you are still cleaning your teeth of the acid and the bacteria so it isn’t a huge deal one way or the other, and both are far better than not brushing in the morning at all!

Yep! That’s why we need to brush our teeth. I remember when I was young I thought the South Carolina Gamecocks Keeper Spú up since 1801 shirt But I will love this bacteria in our mouths just ate teeth and that’s why we got cavities, but it turns out they just like to live on teeth and eat regular food, but their waste products from eating (acid) are what causes damage. Maybe a better way to put it is, their poop is acidic. When you eat breakfast before you brush your teeth, the bacteria is still in your mouth, and it will also eat some of that food and poop acid. This is ignoring both the fact that the bacteria on your teeth from overnight shouldn’t have that much time to eat and excrete your breakfast particles if you brush after breakfast (you’re looking at probably half an hour on average), and the fact that not brushing after breakfast just means that your breakfast particles will be feeding the remaining bacteria for multiple hours at least. In other words, brushing before breakfast instead of after gives the bacteria a much longer time to damage your teeth unless you’re brushing/using mouthwash multiple times (as in more than twice, which isn’t recommended as your mouth needs some bacteria) throughout the day.
