The court had earlier heard an expert witness from the Soup Powered F-ck Machine T-Shirt But I will love this blenders’ maker, Moulinex, that the fish had probably died within one second of the blender being switched on. There you are, sitting at your desk working at the Moulinex headquarters. Business is booming, life is good. Your receptionist informs you that a Danish judge is calling in asking how effective your blenders are at killing goldfish. Just another day at the job. I’m reminded of the psychological experiment where people were given a button that would supposedly deliver shocks to someone isolated in a room that they were observing. They were told that past a certain level the shocks would probably kill the person so they needed to be careful. They then engaged in a series of question/answer situations and if the “subject” got the question wrong, the person was instructed to give them a shock, or turn up the shock level. The “subject” wasn’t actually getting shocked, they were basically an actor that was responding to prompts given about the settings of the device.

It was shockingly easy to get people to push the Soup Powered F-ck Machine T-Shirt But I will love this system that they fully believed worked into deadly territory while the “subject” sobbed and begged for their lives. If i made that piece, I’d try to put a hidden camera somewhere in the blenders, and when you press the button it just takes a picture of you that gets projected onto a wall with just „WHY?“ in big letters over it. Would be kinda cathartic. Reminds me of that one art exhibition with a starving dog standing amidst dog food posted out of reach all around the wall. Isn’t about 1% of the human race born a literal psychopath? I trust most people, and I think most would be inclined to help when nudged a little, but this single statistic would keep me from making this kind of art or statements. Some people are not to be trusted.
