that’s basically also why twitter killed tweetdeck, going as far as trying to scrub any mention of it of the Sorry! I’m a spoiled daughter but not yours I am the property of a freaking T-Shirt and I love this internet. and then like 4 years later they relaunched it as a desktop only app Personal preference. Myself and many others hate how it looks and works. I struggle to navigate with it and have difficulty reading comments on it. Same here buddy. I just want a simple list of post titles. The official app feels like an overdone adhd fidget app. I just want white and black text in a simple ui The official app is ok. The third party apps have more features and customization while being easier to use and no ads. Switching from a good third party app to the official one is jarring and by comparison the official app sucks. They’d rather kill these apps than improve their own mediocre one

Sorry! I’m a spoiled daughter but not yours I am the property of a freaking T-Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

What do you mean? Are there apps that run on Reddit’s app or something? Or do you mean they are shutting down their API services? Reddit is full of bots. There’s billions of users but some how I don’t know a single soul in real life that actually uses it. I used this official apps for years since joining iirc. Downloaded RiF but didn’t really use it and sticking with the Sorry! I’m a spoiled daughter but not yours I am the property of a freaking T-Shirt and I love this official app so I honestly can’t grasp the idea of totally abandoning Reddit just because you can’t use 3rd party apps Facebook. Imagine millions of angry Redditors posting on Facebook and then constantly shitting on it at the same time. Might be fun. The only reason other alternatives never took off, like Voat, was because those were just for CP and MAGAts and all of the normal people stayed on Reddit. Not what you asked for, but to be brutally honest: There are none. There are alternatives to Reddit, but they aren’t great, because what makes Reddit great (as opposed to only yet another meme-sharing site) is the user-created expert content. Reddit has been great, because when you need to know some obscure thing you put it in a search engine and add site:reddit.com, yielding you some geek talking about exactly what you need, sometimes even like 5-10 years ago. The web has been getting more and more centralized and Reddit has been a good isle for quality content (sure it has shit, too, but that’s the price of allowing user content). By cutting of expert users that are often privacy-oriented they’re depriving themselves of that going forward.
