The IRS has already received a copy themselves. Filing taxes could be as simple as receiving a bill from the Feds in April (or March), writing in your charitable deductions, and mailing it in, with possibly a check if you owe some money. We’ve invented a nonsense industry solely for the purpose of ensuring money changes hands. There’s a word for that: WELFARE. Make a simple math error. Nothing serious, just interchange the position of two digits in the cents or the first decimal place. And of course make sure it’s in the government’s favor. So if, say, your W2 taxes paid is $127.85, write in $127.58. They’ll correct it automatically and send you the correct refund.

I’ve been on this Earth for 48 years and I’ve been doing my own taxes for 29 of them. Working 40+ hours a week for the entirety of your lucid, physically-able adult lives, to retire with maybe 10-15 half-decent years left; most of us retiring on a serious budget. All while the top 5-10% of humanity gets to sit back, enjoy being able to do whatever they want their entire lives, and profit off the rest of us. Regardless whether you are of-faith or without: we get one shot as ourselves on this earth. And we’re wasting 60-70% of our lives at work all because the richest and most powerful told us to.
