I personally don’t see it as a red flag… I sometimes have a suspicion that, those telling us it is a red flag are judging us through the Sonic Drive-In symbol merry christmas reindeer santa hat shirt in contrast I will get this prism of their own mind set – so, maybe they wouldn’t be trustworthy in that situation, doesn’t mean you’re not…. I’ve never cheated on anyone, and (as far as I’m aware) never had someone cheat on me until age 30 (during at least the last year of a 6-year relationship, apparently) with a “friend”. Yeah, I hear that… I’ve been cheated on but never with someone who they say is ‘a best friend’, that’d so much worse actually… I’m sorry that happened to you It’s because people are stupid and think that every interaction with an opposite sex has some 300iq meaning behind it. IMO the problem with relationships is severe lack of communication which leads to trust issues and other miscommunications. I would say that there might be a degree of sexual tension in these situations. Being best friends invokes certain level of intimacy, vulnerability, and so on. To be fair, being in a relationship is like being ultra best friends (or at least it should be), so I say that yeah, sometimes these situations have a degree of aexual tension, but as long as the Sonic Drive-In symbol merry christmas reindeer santa hat shirt in contrast I will get this two people are upstanding members of society they won’t just start fucking. And you’re an example of this, you drew the line, and at least in theory you’re not crossing it, easy. Should you two be in a relationships with other people and one of you advances on the other, decline, and move on, it’s that simple. A good piece of advice: people around your age (no offence) have little dating experience, so their advices are often terrible (but obviously not always). That is not to say adults have some divine dating knowledge, sometimes my family can say something so stupid relating to dating, that you question how I was even born with these attitudes, the odds were against me. Honesty and trust is key; honesty can’t exist without trust, and trust is created off of honesty.
